Join Inclusion Maine's conference on rural workforce development and inclusion. This conference features two days of speakers who will be sharing their experiences and practices to attract, recruit, and retain a racially diverse workforce and community.

Why are we hosting the Conference?

  • Rural communities need more people: Maine’s rural communities are struggling to find people, especially skilled talent to fill jobs. (Source: State of Maine, Center for Workforce Research and Information)
  • Rural communities offer a great quality of life: Maine's rural communities offer low-cost housing and cheaper cost of living, as well as increasing incomes, better qualify of life, and a beautiful landscape.
  • Population growth from diverse communities: 96.4% of population growth in Maine from 2010-2019 was due to racially diverse populations. (Source: US Census Bureau)
