Building Connections for Maine Grantmakers

To Grantseekers During COVID-19 Closure

During the COVID-19 crisis and related closures, we have regrettably been unable to provide public access to our grant research databases through individual research appointments.   This is a service that hundreds of nonprofits and supporting professionals use each year, and securing support from funders is of critical importance to many Maine nonprofits during this crisis.  At this time, we are offering our free monthly grant research tutorials virtually.  Keep an eye out here and in your inbox for updates.  Subscribe here if you would like to be added to our general mailing list.

Nonprofit Programs

The Maine Philanthropy Center’s nonprofit programs offer staff, trustees, and volunteers of nonprofit organizations the opportunity to improve their skills around grantseeking and being effective in their communications with funders. We offer monthly grant research tutorials, as well as periodic programs designed to bring together funders and nonprofits.

If you can cannot attend one of the tutorials, please email us at or call (207) 780-5039 to schedule a time to come in to our office. We are located in room 321 of the USM Glickman Family Library in Portland, ME.  Our office hours are M - F 9am - 4:30pm -- please contact us in advance to schedule an appointment to ensure someone is available to assist you.
