Nonprofit Networks

At MPC, we believe that building community and advancing learning are integral to our vision of a vibrant, just, and equitable Maine. By participating in nonprofit networks, nonprofit members looking for funding have opportunities to build relationships and learn together.

If you are a nonprofit member who would like to join a network, we encourage you to reach out to MPC staff or the listed network coordinator. We also encourage you to explore additional nonprofit networks and peer groups by visiting the resources compiled by the Maine Association of Nonprofits.

Association of Fundraising Professionals - Northern New England Chapter

The Northern New England chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals promotes ethical, highly-professional standards and education to staff, volunteers, board members and others engaged in raising philanthropic funds for non-profit organizations. We welcome everyone to join us and learn how to engage your donors and support your mission!

Monthly meetings for the state of Maine are on the fourth Wednesday of every month at 8:30am. Connect on Zoom to talk shop and share successes and challenges in an informal, friendly setting. Contact regional leader Tuck Barclay, Ketcha Outdoors, at tbarclay@ketchaoutdoors.org to register or for more information.

Membership in AFP-NNE is not required to attend monthly meetings. Additional information about Regional Connects can be found on the AFP-NNE website.

Community Centric Fundraising Maine Chapter

Community-Centric Fundraising is a movement to evolve how fundraising is done in the nonprofit sector. Its goal is to support fundraisers and other nonprofit professionals to re-examine every fundraising philosophy and practice they have been taught, engage in vigorous ongoing conversations, and explore doing fundraising in ways that reduce harm and further social justice. Equity is centered in this process. Join this group of Maine nonprofit leaders as they connect with one another, share learnings, and to investigate the 10 principles of CCF.

Register to attend monthly meetings via Zoom. All registrants will be added to the CCF listserv. Reach out to Sarah Lentz at sarah@mainephilanthropy.org with any questions.
