Giving in Maine Reports

Each year we proudly release our “Foundation Giving in Maine” report – a unique data product of Maine Philanthropy Center (MPC) in service of our data-driven approach to telling the story of philanthropy in Maine. It is a one-of-a-kind, unique-to-Maine report that unpacks how money is invested in our communities. This report is built upon thorough data collection and enhanced by the relationships and networks we cultivate.  This report is a positive step toward better understanding how philanthropic dollars flow through and to our state despite the challenges that incomplete reporting and opaque giving vehicles present.

This year's release adds an introduction, definitions, and our methodologies. If you have any questions or would like to dive deeper into the data presented, please reach out to Robert Burnett, Senior Manager, Information Systems & Research at robert@mainephilanthropy.org.
