The Maine Philanthropy Center has evolved from its start as the Maine Grants Information Center (MGIC), which was established in 1995 through a cooperative arrangement between the University of Southern Maine and the Maine Community Foundation.
Grants totaling $345,370 have been awarded through the Belvedere Historic Preservation and Energy Efficiency Fund of the Maine Community Foundation.
The Maine Community Foundation’s People of Color Fund has awarded $201,774 in grants to 23 organizations.
