One of the goals of the Maine Food Funders Network has been to learn more about processing and distribution of food. This May, we’ll travel to three sites in Piscataquis County to learn more about how food moves through that region and how farms and organizations are responding to community needs.
Join other funders as we tour the Piscataquis Regional Food Center, Helping Hands with Heart, and Ripley Farm. There will be ample opportunities for connection, questions, and aligning action! A formal agenda with more details to come, but plan on the following:
11 AM - Meet with Piscataquis Regional Food Center (PRFC) - 76 North St., Dover-Foxcroft, ME 04426
12:30 PM - Meet with Helping Hands with Heart at the Central Hall Commons - lunch provided - 152 East Main Street Dover-Foxcroft, ME 04426
2:15 PM - Visit of Ripley Farm (Gene Ripley) - 62 Merrills Mills Rd, Dover-Foxcroft ME 04426
3:30/4 PM - Leave for home!
The registration fee for this event helps cover the cost of lunch and administrative expenses. Any remaining funds will be donated between the hosting organizations.
