Everyone welcome to this free event! Shenna Bellows, Maine’s Secretary of State, will speak, over a provided lunch, at Lunt Auditorium on March 30th, to the United Nations Association of Maine’s annual meeting, on the topic of Defending Democracy in the Digital Age which relates to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal #16 “Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions”. Shenna Bellows, Maine's first female Secretary of State, will discuss how Maine is preparing to defend our elections in light of evolving threats to cybersecurity, including artificial intelligence. She will also talk about the strength of Maine's election alws in relation to some digitial modernization efforts, such as automatic voter registration and online voter registration, that are advancing voting rights and effective election administration.
