Helping Communities of Color Build Wealth: A Strategy for both Philanthropic and Nonprofit Leaders

In this workshop we explore ways to support communities of color in building wealth across different asset strategies. Whether it is helping a BIPOC-led organization purchase their own property or ensuring the staff at a foundation earn thriving wages, more often than not in our sector we miss opportunities to create generational wealth for BIPOC families in our state because we only support the movements or mission — not the individuals within. Review case studies and learn new strategies to create economic change while funding social change in this workshop with Alyssa Wright and guest speaker Nashira Baril.
