We are being welcomed by Tami Connolly from the Penobscot Nation to Indian Island to learn more about their food sovereignty initiatives including their new Penobscot Farms and the Elder’s Garden on Indian Island. We will gather on Indian Island and share food together, hear from Tami and others in the Penobscot Nation about their work and from Four Directions Development Corporation about their work to invest in food sovereignty and food businesses in Wabanaki communities and then we will travel Penobscot Farms to visit the land and learn more about the vision for this farm.
The base fee for this event is $50 to cover food and staff time. We encourage you to add a donation to your ticket fee if possible and this donation will go directly to the Penobscot Nation.
