Outcomes Measurement is a broad term that covers a vast terrain of history, theory, methods, and tensions. A series of workshops would barely survey the landscape. This hands-on workshop is designed to introduce outcomes measurement to leaders new to the topic. It will also help you make monitoring and evaluation more inclusive and participatory for your staff and community members. You will work with peers in small groups to explore practical tools and approaches to apply to your organization’s current approach to monitoring and evaluation.

Defining clear program and organizational outcomes is a skill that helps tell a credible story of how you are making a difference. It is also a skill that supports organizational learning and strategic planning.

Participants will be able to:

  • Understand the relationship between outcomes measurement and logic models, theories of change, program planning, and grant writing
  • Identify appropriate data sources and data collection strategies for program assessment
  • Use outcome data to create performance dashboards and prepare impact reports
  • Utilize a big-picture approach to thinking about Outcomes Measurement
