Immigrants helped build many of the towns, cities, industries and small businesses that characterize northern New England. This fact sheet describes some of the ways that new Americans continue to contribute to Maine’s state and local economies and its vibrant culture.
The fact sheet was developed by the Sillerman Center for the Advancement of Philanthropy and shared with Maine funders at an October 2016 workshop Community-Engaged Grantmaking: Putting Immigrant Integration into Practice.
You can find fact sheets for Vermont and New Hampshire on the Sillerman Center's website here.
