The Maine Philanthropy Center is embarking on a strategic planning process to inform its future efforts to increase the awareness, effectiveness, and impact of philanthropy in Maine. this environmental scan identifies eight emerging trends that will change the philanthropic field in Maine and shape the decisions of individual and institutional donors, their partners, and the Maine Philanthropy Center. The report addresses the impact of these trends on both the substance and practice of philanthropy in Maine.
