Maine Philanthropy Center is a Funding Information Network Partner of the Foundation Center.

Partners have free information centers housed in libraries, community foundations and other nonprofit resource centers provide a core collection of Foundation Center publications and a variety of supplementary materials and services in areas useful to grantseekers. A key resource is Foundation Directory Online Professional, a database with over 98,000 foundations, corporate givers, and grantmaking public charities and is available online at the Maine Philanthropy Center in Portland. Members of the public are welcome to come and use our resources. We recommend contacting us to make an appointment, or coming to one of our free tutorials to utlize this powerful set of tools. There are only 3 public licenses in the state of Maine.

The Foundation Center also hosts GrantSpace which is a website specifically designed to meet the needs of nonprofits worldwide and includes information by topics areas, free trainings and tutorials around grantseeking and a database of sample documents.

If you are not located near Portland, the other two Foundation Center partners in Maine are the Jessup Memorial Library, Bar Harbor, and the Mark and Emily Turner Memorial Library, Presque Isle.
