2023 - 2024 Storm Recovery and Resiliency Resources

Publication date:
January 2024

In the wake of the unprecedented storms, MPC has gathered these resources from partners. Here is a list of existing orgs responding to the immediate recovery efforts curated by the Island Institute - a special thank you goes out to them for supporting the population of this page and for their hard work supporting coastal communties.

As you think about your disaster response, the Center for Disaster Philanthropy's "Disaster Philanthropy Playbook" can be helpful. It is a collection of innovative philanthropic strategies, practices, case studies and toolkits that help communities prepare for and equitably recover from disasters.

These storms have cascading impacts beyond the immediate and will require service providing organizations to step up to meet this unexpected need. Please reach out to your grantees to see how you can help offset capacity challenges for them to meet increased needs.

If you have resources you think funders should be aware of or know of pooled funds, please email jeannette@mainephilanthropy.org.
