Each year, foundations provide millions of dollars of support for nonprofit organizations that strengthen the lives of Maine residents and their communities. As part of the Maine Philanthropy Center’s commitment to promote philanthropy and increase its impact in Maine, we are proud to develop this annual snapshot of giving in our state.
Note: This is a revised version of the original publication. Bequest estimates were revised upward, impacting the values for corporate giving and total charitable giving in Maine, as shown on page one of the report.
