Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis: Resources

As the escalating Ukraine humanitarian crisis continues to unfold, MPC will be sharing resources to learn and take actions to support the people impacted by this crisis. Maine Community Foundation has researched and compiled a list of options for giving to help the people of Ukraine.

Center for Disaster Philanthropy's Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis page: CDP's page includes an overview of the crisis, critical needs, ways to help, and additional resources. It will continue to be updated as needs come into greater focus. CDP has also established the Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Recovery Fund, which will focus on addressing humanitarian needs that arive, particularly among the most vulnerable, marginalized and at-rish internally-displaced peoples (IDPs) and refugees.

The Philanthropy Europe Foundation (Philea) is tracking information and responses to the crisis on their website.

The Council on Foundations has gathered resources to guide philanthropy's response to the crisis in Ukraine.

CARE has established a Ukraine Crisis Fund to reach 4 million with immediate aid and recovery, food, water, hygiene kits, psychosocial support, and cash assistance - prioritizing women and girls, families, and the elderly. 

The International Committee of the Red Cross is seeking donations to support its work to respond to the Ukraine crisis.

Devex has an update on Ukraine’s looming humanitarian crisis.

NPR has gathered a list of resources to support the people in Ukraine.

Peace and Security Funders Group's Executive Director Alexandra I. Toma wrote an article in The Chronicle of Philanthropy on philanthropy's response to the crisis.

The Chronile of Philanthropy published an article about the "overwhelming donor response for Ukraine."

A Google Doc with a list of Ukrainian community based feminist, queer, youth, disability and Roma organisations you can donate to directly was shared during a meeting with the Council on Foundations.

European Community Foundation Initiative has a page about CFSO Ukraine.      

The Ukrainian Women's Fund is the only Ukraine-based women's fund, and it is mobilizing resources to support its rapid  response grants to women's rights and feminist groups.     

The Urgent Action Fund is supporting women, trans, and nonbinary activists on the ground in and surrounding Ukraine by providing flexible funding and security support.
