The Maine Community Foundation on July 13 announced the appointment of Steven Rowe as its new president and CEO. Rowe is a former state attorney general and Maine House speaker. Most recently, he was the president of the Endowment For Health in New Hampshire.
“I am thrilled by the Board of Directors’ unanimous vote to appoint Steve Rowe as the community foundation’s next president,” said Board Chair Dighton Spooner. “He brings significant leadership experience and a passion for Maine to the position,” said Spooner. “His proven ability to bring people together to address pressing issues, from clean air to access to education and early childhood development, makes him the right person to lead this vital Maine institution during a time of growth and opportunity.”
