Sam L. Cohen Foundation Awards $658,300 Through 46 Responsive Grants

During the first half of 2014, the Sam L. Cohen Foundation awarded 46 responsive grants totaling $658,300. Responsive grants are awarded semi-annually to organizations whose missions relate to the Foundation's program areas including: Arts and Culture, Civic and Community, Education, Health and Human Services, and Jewish Culture and Traditions. The Foundation received 84 initial inquires and 49 full applications. The average grant award was $14,310; the smallest grant was $3,000; the largest grant was $50,000.
