About the Position

Downtown Portland nonprofit organization is seeking a full-time fund-raising specialist who will be responsible for identifying and cultivating mid-level donors with the goal of transitioning them to major gift donors in addition to supporting the Major Gift Program in an administrative capacity. The Donor Relations Specialist will implement a comprehensive mid-level action plan by analyzing the donor-giving database to identify, cultivate, solicit, and upgrade donors who are defined as mid-level with the intent of retaining and upgrading their gifts.

The Donor Relations Specialist will strive to meet donor touch-point goals to ensure regular, ongoing contact with this segment of the donor population. Working directly with the DRD, the Donor Relations Specialist will identify a strategic plan for groups of the mid-level donors.

The Donor Relations Specialist will support the Donor Relations Director in reporting, research, data entry, and correspondence activities.

This is an excellent fundraising opportunity to work with donors who have demonstrated a proven inclination. This full-time position lends itself to either an experienced individual looking for a new challenge or an individual looking to begin a new career in fundraising.

Outstanding communication skills are critical, and the ability to engage donors on the phone is being extremely important. Good writing skills and basic computer skills are required. Experience in excel is helpful. The hourly wage range varies and depends on experience. The base hourly rate is $15.
