Portland Trails welcomes Lindsay Conrad as organization’s Donor Engagement Lead

Monday, August 23, 2021

Portland Trails is pleased to announce the appointment of Lindsay Conrad as the organization’s first full-time Donor Engagement Lead. Lindsay will lead the fundraising efforts at Portland Trails, as well as steward corporate sponsors and individual donors, to further Portland Trails’ mission and meet the organization’s long-term goals. She began work at Portland Trails on July 28, 2021.

Previously, Lindsay was the Annual Fund and Leadership Gifts Officer for the Portland Symphony Orchestra. She brings over 10 years of experience working for nonprofit organizations in Boston and Portland. She is replacing Nancy Grant, Portland Trails’ former Advancement Officer, who retired in June 2021.

“Portland Trails is thrilled to have Lindsay join our team as a full-time fundraiser so that we can continue increasing our capacity to create a healthier Greater Portland,” says Kara Wooldrik, Portland Trails’ Executive Director.

Now in its 30th year, Portland Trails has always believed trails to be tools for community change. “We have a small but incredibly efficient staff, thousands of volunteers, 1400 members, and over 50 landowner partners who have been dedicated to increasing access to local nature, active transportation, and recreation opportunities,” says Kara. “As we continue to water the seeds of community connectivity that were planted over the past 30 years, we want to ensure that all people feel that they belong in the Portland Trails community and are collaborators in creating solutions to both long-standing and unfolding challenges. Lindsay brings fundraising experience and relationship-building skills that will allow us to include more perspectives and voices in our work so that together we can create a healthier community for everyone.”
