The mission of Central Maine Youth Makerspace is to improve educational and economic prospects for young people (grades 7-12) in Central Maine by advancing high-quality informal STEAM learning and traditional skill exploration and development opportunities. The Maine Project for Fine Art Conservation-Project MEAC is the only non-profit Fine Art Conservation lab/studio in Maine and is located in Portland. Project MEAC is committed to conserve and preserve art from historical societies, families, individuals and museums. We are also dedicated to the conservation and preservation of civic art that are present in our libraries, schools, city halls throughout Maine. We at Project MEAC believe that these artworks belong to a complex historical patchwork. Conserving and preserving them will help define our cultural heritage for future generations.

River Tree Arts’ mission is to offer the joy and benefits of music, theater, dance, and visual arts to all children, teens, and adults in the greater Kennebunk region, regardless of age, income, or prior experience. We believe the arts are crucial to building a vibrant and connected community, and therefore, we foster opportunities for people to come together to create, learn, and celebrate. Throughout the year, we offer a full schedule of classes, workshops, and private instruction; host an inspiring selection of gallery exhibits; and present a range of diverse performances and special events.

The Sebago-Long Lake Music Festival has brought the joys of chamber music to western Maine for over forty years. Every summer, SLLMF presents a much anticipated chamber music series at the Deertrees Theatre in Harrison. Outreach events include youth concerts, community programs, and series concerts, repeated around the state. Performers of the highest caliber come from around the country and abroad.

The Telling Room is a nonprofit in Portland, Maine dedicated to the idea that children and young adults are natural storytellers. Focused on young writers ages 6 to 18, we seek to build confidence, strengthen literacy skills, and provide real audiences for our students. We believe that the power of creative expression can change our communities and prepare our youth for success.
