Presented by Grantmakers Concerned with Immigrants and Refugees

Forced migration is driven by political strife, military occupations, armed conflict, labor exploitation, social oppression, and environmental disasters, among other factors. What is the role of the United States in instigating and perpetuating these conditions? Why should the migrant justice movement undertake a global analysis of displacement? How can philanthropy support efforts to tackle the root causes of forced migration? In this session, we will hear from organizers and activists who will address these questions from their different regional vantage points.

This program is a part of California Dignity for Families Fund Learning Series, a monthly roundtable discussion centering invisibilized communities and exploring often neglected topics within the migrant justice movement.
