Whether you're a program officer, a communications associate, a grants manager, a researcher, a senior leader, or a manager, communications goes both ways and is integral to your roles and how you show up as a partner, a colleague, or just a better human being.
As many in the sector embark on their own racial equity journey, it's clear that we need to prioritize the value of listening and ensuring that all voices are heard. If philanthropy is to be truly equitable, funders and their nonprofit partners, staff and board working within their individual institutions, and funders collaborating across issue areas must truly hear one another.
