Presented by Maine Center for Economic Policy

MECEP’s 2023 legislative priorities aim to improve economic security for Mainers throughout their lives by advancing economic justice and racial equity, increasing power for workers, and holding corporations accountability to paying what they owe in taxes.

With the continuing services budget behind them, lawmakers have until June to pass a supplemental budget that delivers solutions to the problems Mainers face. We invite you to join us at a virtual Policy Insights Lunch & Learn on Wednesday, May 10 at noon for an update on legislation that would bring fairness and accountability to the corporate tax code, ensure Mainers have access to affordable child care and paid family leave, and build a budget that helps families who need it most.

Featuring:

  • Ryan Tipping, MECEP Director of Campaigns and Strategy
  • Karin Leuthy, MECEP Community Engagement Manager
  • Josie Phillips, MECEP State Priorities Policy Fellow
