When it comes to fundraising, it’s all about building relationships. To authentically connect with others, it’s important to practice active listening, ask curious questions, and stay open to new perspectives. Sheri Gurock, a trained facilitator/coach and the executive director of her family's foundation, will walk us through some of the fundamentals of listening, curiosity, and perspective-taking. We’ll have a chance to put the learning into practice while also making new connections with others in the network.

Fundraising Fridays are monthly hour-long “coffee talks” facilitated by thought leaders from the social sector. These discussion groups, held at 9:00 am on the first Friday of each month, are free and open to any and all nonprofit professionals and volunteers interested in fundraising and development issues (EDs, DDs, development staff, volunteer leaders, etc.). Participants will come away with a greater understanding of the topic at hand and connections to nonprofit peers who share similar interests and concerns.
