The Maine Philanthropy Center's president, Barbara Edmond, has announced her plans to retire at the end of June 2019. A board-led search committee has been formed, and we have recently launched the search process for new leadership at MPC. We have hired Cathy Kidman to assist us with the search process, and as a first step, we will be conducting an organizational assessment. An integral part of the assessment will be gathering input from a variety of stakeholders who interact with MPC in different ways.
To get input from nonprofit and consultant members who are not currently serving on the MPC board, we will be holding a focus group, facilitated by Cathy, on Monday, January 28, from 3:00 - 4:30pm at the office of the Emanuel & Pauline A. Lerner Foundation in Portland. We will also offer a Zoom video conference or telephone option, for those participants who can't be there in person. We will have space available for 10 people to attend the meeting in person and for 6 people to attend by Zoom.
Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, so if you want to participate, please register as soon as possible. We hope you can join in the conversation!
