Follow the first government-sanctioned truth and reconciliation commission in the U.S., as the Maine Wabanaki-State Truth and Reconciliation Commission investigates the devastating impact of Maine’s child welfare practices on Native American communities. With exclusive access to this groundbreaking process and never-before-seen footage, "Dawnland" reveals the untold narrative of Indigenous child removal in the United States.

The film screening will be followed by a facilitated conversation with film participant Esther Anne – co-director of Maine-Wabanaki REACH – and filmmaker Adam Mazo.

Please Note: The Maine Philanthropy Center is sharing the proceeds from this screening with Maine-Wabanaki REACH. Your ticket price includes a $40 donation to this valuable organization.
