The Disaster Philanthropy Playbook is a compilation of philanthropic strategies, best practices and lessons learned that have saved and galvanized local economies, nonprofits, and vulnerable populations from entering into a permanent downward spiral in the wake of a disaster.
Developed by the European Foundation Centre and the Council on Foundations
A very clear guide for foundations and corporations on how to be more effective in addressing disasters. The guide describes eight principles of good disaster management. From those principles, it offers practical suggestions, lessons from experience, examples of good and bad practices, and facts and figures.
Thank you to Bangor Savings Bank for hosting the gathering!
