Once you’ve set your strategy and planned your programs, you might be asked to determine the business value of those programs. In this session, we will explore the mathematical calculations and tracking techniques to build a strong business case for the corporate citizenship investments your company has made.

Return on Investment (ROI) is a calculation that aims to answer the question “is (or was) this a worthwhile investment”? It does so by comparing a program’s likelihood of successful outcome (or benefit) to its cost. Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of the process to calculate ROI and empirically establish the connection between an investment and its resulting value.

This session will aim to answer the questions:

  • Where can my programs deliver the best business value?
  • What do I need to start measuring/tracking to prove that?
  • What partnerships (internal or external) need to be established?
  • What are some next steps I will take to improve my measurement?
  • What indicators can be used in calculating ROI?
  • How can existing indicators be adjusted to ensure measurement is possible?
