Maine Philanthropy Center understands that 2021 is an exceptional year for nonprofits – as the pandemic continues to stress capacity we want to ensure that those in need of our services and supports can maintain access to them. To that end, we have developed a pool of scholarship funds to support organizations that would not be able to maintain membership without help. Because scholarships are limited, we hope that those who can pay full membership will choose to do so. This will allow those that truly need the support to access it.

What is the scholarship & how do I get it?
Any organization that expresses the need for supplemental support to get an MPC membership is eligible for a 50% discount on their current membership tier. Simply use the code MEMBER50 in your membership form to automatically apply the discount.
There will be a limited amount of scholarships we give out each quarter to ensure all members who need this support have access.

I am new to MPC or didn't hold a membership last year. Can I still have my membership offset?
Yes! This scholarship is for any associate membership level regardless of prior membership status.
How do you define need?
We are asking organizations to self-report need. Because scholarships are limited, we hope that those who can pay full membership will choose to do so. This will allow those that truly need the support to access it.
What if I already renewed my membership in 2021 prior to this announcement?
If you already renewed your 2021 membership in January prior to receiving this announcement and need support offsetting your membership fee, you can request a partial refund. Please reach out to Robert Burnett at email@example.com to process this refund.
What about the future?
This discount program was made possible through exceptional support in 2021, and at this point is only applicable for 2021 memberships. While we may not be able to give broad discounts for future memberships, there may be opportunity to offset your membership fees in the future.
Is the scholarship available for Consultant/Professional membership as well?
Yes, the scholarships are available for all MPC Associate Member types. Consultants and professional firms use the Consultant Membership Form.
